Accidents & Injuries (ACC)

If you’ve had a recent accident or injury, you may be covered by ACC, which helps with the cost of your recovery.
ACC is a no-fault scheme – it covers everyone in New Zealand (including visitors, children, students, workers, beneficiaries, and retirees).

What ACC Covers

• Chiropractic care for sprain/strain injuries (neck, back, shoulder, knee, ankle, hip, etc.)

• Claims can be registered directly at our practice – no GP referral required.

• Your visit cost will be subsidised if ACC accepts your injury.

What ACC Does Not Cover

• Illness or disease (e.g., flu, measles)

• Stress, emotional issues, or hurt feelings

• Conditions related to ageing (e.g., arthritis)

• Injuries that develop gradually (unless work-related)

• Unexplained back pain without an accident
